As a new graduate student you are invited to attend the UF Graduate School Orientation on Thursday, August 17 from 8:30 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. in the Grand Ballroom, J. Wayne Reitz Union and the Food and Resource Economics Department (FRED) Orientation on Friday, August 21 from 9:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. in 1157 McCarty Hall, Building A. The Graduate Student Orientation program has been designed to familiarize you with the University of Florida and the Food and Resource Economics Department and help you make a successful transition to our campus. The program covers important information about our academic policies and procedures, registration and degree completion information, and an overview of available graduate student support services. Wayne Reitz Union, UF campus Academic Written English Screening Test and SPEAK tests** for International Students Wednesday, 19 August 2009 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. Room 119, Computer Science and Engineering Building, UF Campus *The Academic Written English Screening test is required for all non-US or Puerto Rican students whose verbal GRE score is below 320 or TOEFL score is below 80 (Internet version), 213 (computer version) or 550 (paper version).
