Links to Professional Organizations Our students are encouraged and supported in their attempt to develop strong professional relationships. Often times these contacts develop within student sections of professional organizations. Aside from meeting up-and-coming colleagues and being an invaluable experience, memberships and involvement in such organization also show professional commitment and long-term interest in the field. We have listed and linked to a number of these professional organizations for which we have had members in the past, however, this should not be interpreted as an exhaustive list of opportunities. Research Topics As an example of the nature and type of issues addressed by our students, we have compiled a list of theses titles and noted our annual award winners since 1995. We have also included a description of research topics that currently have funding available for qualified and interested students. These are projects that our faculty members have received funding for in the anticipation of employing a student to help conduct the research. Often, these projects provide full assistantship funding for the student and, in return, the student uses the research as the basis of his/her thesis or writing requirement.
